Although technically the newest kids on the block - we’ve been servicing the film community for a while as part of the late and great Shibui Film before their closure. Faced with the prospect of posting our film, unemployment and the reality of leaving the lab and our friends behind, we put our brains and funds together to keep the professional lab dream alive.
For those that don’t know, Lazarus (pronounced Laz-err-rus) is the biblical character famous for dying, spending 4 days in hell and then being resurrected by Jesus. Neither of us are religious in the slightest, but we felt his story matched our own and appreciated the irony. In addition, Lazarus represents the resurrection of the dead and buried film industry in the digitised and instantaneous world of today.
With a few tricks we’ve learned along the way, a wealth of knowledge passed down and our foundations now forged - we sincerely look forward to serving the community in any and every way we can.
